Dog and cat surgery veterinary
From routine procedures to advanced procedures, we provide a full complement of surgical services for your pet. Surgeries include:
- Laser surgery
- Neuter and spay
- Laser declaw
- Eye surgery
- General surgical procedures
- Emergency surgery
We recommend laser surgery for routine surgeries such as spay and neuter, feline declaw and some general surgical procedures, such as mass removal, because it offers your pet reduced bleeding, reduced pain, reduced swelling and faster recovery.
Our surgical suite is equipped with the latest monitoring equipment, anesthesia, and pain management techniques. Before surgery, during surgery and while your pet recovers, we keep your dog or cat comfortable and provide the best professional care to ensure a speedy and complete recovery. We follow advanced pain management protocols to provide for your pet’s comfort and to mitigate pain.
Prior to surgery, your dog or cat will be given a thorough physical exam; pre-anesthetic blood work is encouraged in all surgical cases and required in some. This helps ensure that your dog or cat can safely receive anesthesia during the surgery. Modern anesthetic protocols and monitoring are used for all patients. During surgery we monitor your pet’s heart rate, blood oxygenation and CO2 levels (respiration). Our Veterinarian will discuss your pet’s surgery in detail with you prior to surgery so that you understand each and every step of the procedure and your pet’s recovery.
